These terms explain what you can expect from PearlNook and what we expect in return. By using the site you agree to them, so please give them a read.

Who we mean

“PearlNook”, “we” and “us” mean the PearlNook team that runs this site. “You” means anyone who uses it, whether you read, reply or write. Our community guidelines and privacy policy are part of these terms.

Reading

Reading is free and needs no account. Posts are written by independent writers and reflect their own views and experience, not ours. Use your own judgement before relying on anything you read here.

Replies

Anyone can reply to a post with a name and a message. You are responsible for what you write, and by sending a reply you allow us to publish it in that post’s thread. Replies are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline or remove any reply.

Writer accounts

Writer accounts are by invitation only; there is no public sign-up. If you have an account, keep your sign-in details private and tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for everything published from your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you publish. By publishing, you give PearlNook permission to host, store, display and distribute your content, on your profile, in topic nooks and through RSS feeds, for as long as it stays on the site and only to run the service.

Publish only what you have the right to share and what fits the guidelines. You can ask us at any time to remove a post or your whole blog. Copies already collected by feed readers or other services are outside our control.

Using the site fairly

Follow the community guidelines. Don’t try to break into the site, overload it, get around its spam protection or use another person’s account.

Posts and profiles may link to websites we don’t run. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your information.

Removing content

We may remove posts, profiles or replies, or close a blog, when they break these terms or the guidelines, or when that is needed to protect readers, writers or the service.

If you believe something on PearlNook infringes your copyright, write to us on the contact page under “Copyright”. Tell us which work is yours, link to the post concerned and say how we can reach you. We will review it and remove infringing material.

The service as it is

We work to keep PearlNook reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be online, free of errors or suited to a particular purpose, and we don’t check every post for accuracy. We may change features, pause the service, or stop offering some or all of it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the PearlNook team is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that come from using or being unable to use the site, or from content posted by writers or repliers.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and we will change the “last updated” date when we do. If you keep using PearlNook after an update, you accept the new terms.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, ask us on the contact page.
